Polaris Patrol is a new Operations experience announced for Delta Force Season 11: Reorientation. The mode puts Desmoulins at the center of a new Space City conflict, giving players a chance to fight as the Polaris side with a squad, special map access, a dedicated extraction path, and the Ruin combat vehicle.

The official Season Reorientation developer stream presents Polaris Patrol as more than a standard boss encounter. Desmoulins can deploy and directly control Ruin, while her guard squad brings different combat tools for tracking enemies, breaking cover, blocking vision, and protecting teammates. This guide explains the announced Polaris Patrol systems and what both Polaris and GTI players should prepare for when the mode arrives.

What Is Polaris Patrol?

Polaris Patrol is a new Space City Operations mode built around a conflict between the Polaris side and GTI Operators.

The official preview describes the mode as a new way to experience Desmoulins. Instead of facing her only as a traditional boss, Polaris Patrol allows players to take part in a squad built around her special tools, Ruin vehicle access, guard roles, map advantages, and exclusive extraction options.

The mode is designed around uneven objectives. Polaris players have powerful tools, special access, and a coordinated squad identity. GTI players have the opportunity to challenge Polaris, defeat members of the squad, collect their special elevator key, and use that key to gain access to the CEO Office elevator.

That structure should make information, communication, positioning, and timing important for both sides. Do not assume Polaris Patrol plays like a normal Operations raid or a simple boss-fight event. The announced mechanics create different priorities for Polaris and GTI teams.

Playing as Desmoulins

Desmoulins is the central Polaris Patrol character.

Her signature tool is Ruin, a combat vehicle that she can deploy and control directly through a neural link. Ruin is not just transport: it is the main source of Desmoulins’ pressure, information gathering, and target control.

The official stream shows Ruin equipped with a turret and grenade launcher. It can activate a thermal imaging system that scans and marks nearby enemies, shares their location with the Polaris squad, and allows Ruin’s weapons to lock onto and track targets.

Ruin also has access to Seeker Bomb. The device searches for an enemy target, locks on, gives chase, and detonates after a short delay.

Ruin creates powerful opportunities, but it also creates a risk. If the vehicle is destroyed, the neural link deals heavy damage to Desmoulins and reveals her location. Do not treat Ruin as a vehicle you can send into every fight without a plan. Use it when your squad has information, support, and a clear reason to take space.

Ruin Vehicle Abilities Explained

Ruin gives the Polaris side several announced tools that can change how a Space City encounter develops.

Turret and Grenade Launcher

Ruin uses a turret and grenade launcher to apply direct pressure. These weapons can help Polaris challenge open routes, defend an objective, or force GTI players to reposition. Their final damage, ammunition, cooldowns, range, and availability should be verified in the live mode.

Thermal Imaging, Scanning and Target Marks

Ruin can activate thermal imaging to scan nearby enemies. The scan can mark detected targets and share their location with the Polaris squad. Ruin’s vehicle weapons can then lock onto and track those targets.

This makes Ruin especially useful when GTI players are hiding behind cover, rotating through a busy area, or trying to approach from an unexpected route. The Polaris squad still needs to act on the information. A mark only becomes valuable when teammates use it to reposition, hold an angle, or coordinate a push.

Seeker Bomb

The Seeker Bomb is designed to find an enemy target, lock on, chase that target, and detonate after a short delay.

Use it to add pressure to a known threat, disrupt a player holding an important route, or force an opponent to move. Do not rely on it as an automatic elimination tool. Enemy positioning, cover, movement, and live balance will affect how much value it creates.

The Heavy Guard

The Heavy Guard gives the Polaris squad tools for area pressure and vision control.

The official stream shows the Heavy Guard using a Remote Bomb. It can be planted and detonated at the right moment. The stream also shows that the bomb can be attached to a Polaris vehicle, allowing the squad to bring an explosive threat closer to an enemy position.

The Heavy Guard also has a Smoke Grenade Launcher that can quickly block enemy vision.

These tools can help Polaris defend an interaction point, pressure GTI players near a route, cover a reposition, or support a revive. The strongest use will usually be coordinated use. A smoke screen is more useful when it helps a teammate move, revive, rotate, or set up a crossfire.

The Comms Guard

The Comms Guard focuses on enemy information and pressure against players behind cover.

The official stream shows the Comms Guard firing a flare that reveals and marks nearby enemies for the entire Polaris squad.

The Comms Guard also has an Airburst Grenade Launcher. Its grenade detonates over the target area, making it useful for hitting players behind cover or in positions that are difficult to attack directly.

Together, the Heavy Guard and Comms Guard support Desmoulins in different ways. The Heavy Guard can create pressure and block sightlines, while the Comms Guard can reveal targets and challenge protected positions. A coordinated Polaris squad can combine marks, smoke, vehicle pressure, and indirect damage to force GTI players into harder choices.

Rescue, Elevator Access and Extraction

Polaris Patrol includes several announced map advantages and objectives that are specific to the Polaris side.

If a Polaris teammate is downed, the squad can use a drag-rescue mechanic to pull that teammate to a safer position before reviving them. This gives Polaris more options for recovering from a dangerous fight, but a rescue still requires squad cover and good timing.

The Polaris squad does not have a Signal Jammer area on the map. It also has access to a dedicated elevator that takes the group from the Garden directly to the CEO Office.

GTI players can still interact with this advantage. If they defeat a Polaris player, they can collect a special key and use it to access the elevator themselves.

The Polaris squad also has an exclusive extraction point. To unlock it, the team must turn in 5 ID Tags collected during the current match.

These mechanics make Space City knowledge especially valuable. Know the Garden, CEO Office, possible approaches to the elevator, and the risks of carrying or contesting ID Tags. The live version may change exact locations, requirements, interaction rules, or access conditions, so confirm the final details before building a fixed route around them.

How GTI Players Should Respond

GTI players should not approach Polaris Patrol as if they are fighting an ordinary boss with a predictable route.

Ruin can scan, mark, track, and pressure targets, so predictable movement can become a problem. Avoid giving the Polaris squad a simple line of advance. Use cover, vary your approach, keep your squad spread enough to reduce the value of area pressure, and communicate quickly when a teammate is marked.

Watch for the Heavy Guard’s vision-blocking smoke and potential Remote Bomb pressure. When sightlines disappear, do not immediately push into the same position without information. Consider whether the smoke is covering a revive, a rotation, a vehicle approach, or a trap.

Be careful around cover when the Comms Guard is active. A flare can reveal targets for the Polaris squad, while the Airburst Grenade Launcher is designed to reach positions that are difficult to challenge with direct fire.

If your squad defeats a Polaris player, look for the special elevator key. The key may create a new way to reach the CEO Office, but using it can also place you in a high-interest area. Coordinate before entering and do not assume the elevator is safe simply because it gives special access.

How Polaris Players Should Plan Their Runs

Polaris players should treat their advantages as a coordinated system rather than separate abilities.

Use Ruin’s scan to create information. Use Comms Guard marks to keep enemy positions visible. Use Heavy Guard smoke to block the angles that threaten a revive, rotation, or vehicle movement. Use the Remote Bomb and Airburst Grenade Launcher to pressure cover. Then decide whether the squad should push, reposition, hold the elevator, collect ID Tags, or begin preparing for extraction.

Do not expose Ruin without support. Losing the vehicle can damage Desmoulins and reveal her location, turning a strong position into a vulnerable one.

Keep track of ID Tag progress throughout the match. The exclusive Polaris extraction point requires 5 ID Tags collected during that match, so a squad that ignores this objective until the final minutes may lose its safest planned exit.

Use the dedicated Garden-to-CEO Office elevator carefully. It can create a strong rotation option, but it can also become an obvious place for GTI players to watch after they know Polaris is active.
